Napier is home to the Napier Public Library and the Taradale Library. Both Libraries are run by the Napier City Council. To view more infomation about the libraries and their services click the image below.
When visiting a Napier library you'll find a vast selection of titles from childrens books, to the latest paperback novels. You can even search the Napier Library Catalogue online!
The Napier Library offers the traditional library card system and you can take out several books at a time. There is also an audio section with audiobooks and music available for hire. While most tend to hire and go, the library has several cosy places you can do some quiet reading. The Napier Library is located next to the Napier City Council, off Station Street.
The Taradale Library is a satellite of the Naper Public Library. Although smaller, the Taradale Library still houses a great selection of titles. You'll find the Library on White Street, Taradale.
Both libraries are part of the city loan service where if the title you are after is present at one of the neighbouring Hastings City Libraries then it can be ordered in for collection. Both Napier Libraries also have extensive public noticeboards so you can keep up to date with whats happening in the community.
